In late January Centennial’s School of Communications, Media & Design held a school-wide competition focused on generating discussion around issues related to transit and social justice. Key to winning “10.10.10” was demonstrating how you would collaborate across programs within the school. A team from Corporate Communications & Public Relations won the competition, and partnered with students from Broadcasting & Film to bring their idea to life. The result is The Big Race – a 8 part webisode that follows three competitors as they race across the GTA. The series is produced in collaboration with Metrolinx and Greater Toronto Civic Action Alliance and reflects Centennial’s commitment to real-life learning and collaboration.
The Big Race was also featured recently on CITYNews Toronto’s website and the Globe and Mail.
The Big Race will debut on Wednesday, April 17 at Civic Action’s Our Region, Our Move conference focused on transportation in the GTHA. Here’s a sneak peak:
